Not to snark about another ASAP story, but graphic novels in college courses are nothing new. My little tiny college had a class on comic books when I was there five years ago, after all (I didn’t take it because it was at 4:30 p.m., which was, well, my nap time).
(And no comments on my opinion on the term “graphic novel.”)
There will always be people who’ve just discovered comic books are another legitimate literary and/or artistic form of expression. That doesn’t mean it’s a new thing. Can we move on now?
