I bought all of them to support the line, but after it was cancelled, I culled all but The PLAIN Janes and its sequel, The New York Four, and Burnout. I think it didn’t help that it lacked a flagship title, and also the shying away from fantasy stories, which was still the big thing in prose YA at the time. Honestly, that would have been the time to reboot Amethyst as a magical girl series.
